LifeWithMy.pet (“LifeWithMy.pet,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) helps pet owners capture memories, organize care, share with family, and list pets for adoption. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By creating an account or using our services, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use LifeWithMy.pet.

We collect information in these categories:

• Account information — name, email address, and authentication credentials when you sign up or sign in (including through AWS Cognito when enabled).
• Pet and household data — pet names, breeds, photos, memories, health and care records, vet and emergency contacts, milestones, and other content you add to a pet profile.
• Adoption listing information — details you publish when listing a litter or pet for adoption, including descriptions, pricing, availability, and contact preferences.
• Payment information — subscription and checkout details processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
• Usage and device data — pages viewed, features used, browser type, IP address, and similar technical data collected through cookies, logs, and analytics tools to operate and improve the service.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and personalize your account and pet profiles
• Enable family sharing, pet sitter access, and other collaboration features you configure
• Process subscriptions, storage add-ons, and adoption-related payments
• Display and moderate public adoption listings you choose to publish
• Send service-related messages such as account verification, receipts, and security alerts
• Detect abuse, protect users and pets, and comply with legal obligations
• Improve performance, fix bugs, and develop new features

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:

• With people you authorize — such as household members or sitters you invite to a pet profile.
• With service providers — including hosting, authentication (AWS Cognito), payments (Stripe), email delivery, and analytics vendors that process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards.
• On public adoption listings — information you include in a listing may be visible to anyone browsing the adoptions marketplace.
• For legal reasons — when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
• In a business transfer — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to continued protection of your information.

We retain account and pet data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may delete content from your profiles or close your account, subject to backup and legal retention requirements. Adoption listing data may remain in logs for fraud prevention and record-keeping after a listing is removed.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure cloud infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

• Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you
• Export pet profile data you have uploaded
• Opt out of non-essential marketing emails
• Restrict or object to certain processing

You can update most profile information in the app. For other requests, contact us at privacy@lifewithmy.pet. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

LifeWithMy.pet is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. By using the service, you consent to transfer of your information to locations that may have different data protection laws than your country.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
